Hello KMS Student Athletes & Families!

Spring is right around the corner!  The following sports are offered to all KMS students during the Spring sports season: Coed Track & Field,  Softball & Baseball. CLOSES 3/10

I will be in the cafeteria meeting with students on Wednesday 2/28 to hand out permission forms and answer any questions. Your student-athlete can also turn in permission forms then - Link listed below to print.    **Bartlett students must contact Mr. Pickering at JBES if interested in a spring sport. 

For student-athletes participating in more than one sport during the KMS Spring sport season (i.e. travel baseball, travel softball, Cal Ripkin, MWV Lax, dance, spring soccer, etc) please be sure to read page 5 & 6 related to Eligibility.

 Starting Dates listed below for the gym:

Track:        8th Graders Only 3/25  Time: 2:30-4:30   

                    7th Graders Only  3/27   Time: 2:30-4:30

                     All Track & Field  3/29, 4/1 & 4/4        Time: 2:30-4:30

Baseball:  Pitchers & Catchers Only  3/18 & 3/20       Time:  2:30-3:30/4 

                    All baseball players report  3/29 & 4/3       Time: 2:30-4:30

Softball:     Pitchers & Catchers Only   3/19                  Time: 2:30-3:30/4

                    All softball players report  3/28, 4/2 & 4/5   Time: 2:30-4:30 

Gym space will be limited until fields are ready or parking lots are swept, so student athletes should be prepared for indoor - and outdoor - practices on any given day if weather allows once practices begin.  Grab a friend, a sibling or a parent and get outside and get running and/or throwing!   Please have paper permission forms turned in ASAP so that we can check eligibility before the first practice.  

Again, registration closes 3/10 so please sign up ASAP -  all forms should be in no later than 3/10.

Permission Forms:  Take a moment to fill out the Registration form at the bottom of this page so that we can create a contact list and schedule based on  participation numbers. *ImPACT Testing is required for all incoming 7th graders and untested 8th graders.  This cognitive assessment must be done BEFORE a student can participate.  If an athlete was tested and passed as a 7th grader last year or earlier this school year, they are all set.  This is an online test and can be done with parents at home and can be found at www.gokms.com under 'Files & Links' or click here: https://forms.gle/CaReKTFaAYugCcPU7 .  

Physicals must be turned in with paperwork or be on file from a previous sports season.  Physicals are good for 2 years and must be up to date in order to play.  Please also be sure to update an expired or soon to expire sports physical with school.
