KMS Fall Sports Update & Back to School Listening Session Info

Happy Summer KMS Parents & Athletes!

I wanted to check in with you all to let you know that we hope to release updated information soon regarding Fall Sports at KMS.  While we do not know at this time what our school day or schedule will exactly look like, we are planning to be able to offer sports this fall in some capacity. Be it in person or online, we are planning for team and sport specific activities for the students to be a part of.  When the time comes, KMS will follow the guidelines and suggestions put forth by KHS and the NH Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA).  SAU9 will be making the decision in the upcoming weeks, so in the meantime - here are the things we can do:

  • Make sure you have signed your child up for Fall Sports - this is just a sign up. We are creating a new online registration process and will send information out on that as soon as possible.  Keep an eye on the web page for updates and details. Click the link to add your child to the list:

  • Make sure your student has had their physical and proof is sent in to KMS by August 14th. Physicals are good for 2 years.  Permission forms will be available online at as we get closer.

  • Attend a KMS Re-Entry listening session for parents: 7/22 at 11 am & 7/28 at 10 AM.   FMI - click here for details:

  • Put the KMS Fall Sports Parent Meeting on your calendar - *Monday, August 17th at 6:30 in the KMS Gymnasium. *Tentative Date - Subject to change.

  • ImPACT Testing: Once we get the return to school information, I will send out more info for ImPACT Testing.  ImPACT Testing is an online, computer-based cognitive test that measures memory, attention span, visual and verbal problem solving.   If a student was tested and passed as a 7th grader, they do not need to take the test again. If a student is new to KMS sports as an 8th grader and or has not been ImPACT tested, they must do so before they can participate in face to face sports. The ImPact testing schedule will be posted online soon at

  • Most importantly – students can be active and get moving! Many of our students have not had an organized sport or activity since March.  Muscle strength, endurance and physical fitness has taken a back seat for many of our athletes and we need to get them moving again.  Encourage your children to go for a run, a hike, and do some stretching and body weight workouts.  These things are easy and free and available any time!

Thank you and please reach out with any questions! Be safe, stay healthy and don’t forget to wash your hands!
