Announcements and Important Events
Hello Hello! It's getting to be that time of year... Spring Sports registrations are here! The following sports are offered to all KMS students during the Spring sports season: Coed Track & Field, Softball & Baseball.
All students intending to participate in a Spring sport must have proof of a physical examination on file at the school, have taken an ImPACT Test and filled out the parent permission forms via Powerschool. Permission forms are available at the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Once logged in, go to “Forms” on the left then click on Spring Athletics Registration link. If you need a physical, please be sure make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible to avoid delay. Physicals are good for 2 years. Physicals and permission forms must be submitted to KMS by Wednesday, March 17th. The link for signups has also been sent to KMS students via school email: https://forms.gle/ySwEm1JqN8xbvh9w5.
Preseason information will be released in the upcoming weeks. Conditioning sessions will be offered mid to late March and are optional, not required. More info will be posted at www.GoKMS.com as it becomes available. Contact Gredel Shaw with any questions!
*ImPACT testing is required for all incoming 7th graders and untested 8th graders. This cognitive assessment must be done BEFORE a student can participate. If an athlete was tested and passed as a 7th grader, they are all set. This is an online test and can be done with parents at home. Please contact Gredel Shaw firstname.lastname@example.org if your child needs to be tested.
Lastly, if your child participated in a winter sport at KMS and still has their uniform, please bring it in washed and labeled and give it to their Team leader. And also email your coach that it has been brought in. Note: Spring uniforms will not be given to those who do not return their other uniforms and a bill for approximately $85 will be issued to the parents or guardians
Let me know if you have any questions and Think Spring!
