Last 3 weeks of Spring Sports & Spectator Guideline update

This Week in KMS Sports

May 17th – June 3rd  The final push for Spring Sports!

* Updated 5/20 - Kennett MASK & Spectator Policy UPDATE: Kennett athletes are no longer be required to wear a face mask when actively participating in a spring sport.  Face masks will still be required to be worn when not actively participating and we will require them whether appropriate social distancing can be maintained or not (i.e. in the dugout, on the sideline, when riding the bus, transitioning between the bus/building and playing area, when entering/leaving the facility … etc.).

HOWEVER, we will wear face masks if our opponents require us to, home or away. Coaches, game personnel and spectators will still be required to wear a mask at all times.

Spectators are now allowed at home events.  Home & Visiting teams will be allowed 6 guests per athlete, one must be an adult. KMS Staff members & their children are also welcome to attend. Parents/Spectators are not permitted near the teams or benches.  We will be expecting spectators to self-screen prior to arriving on the KMS Campus. **If you are not feeling well or have new, unexplained symptoms, please stay home** Spectators must wear masks.

Properly fitting masks and labeled water bottles with the athletes name are required.  ** If a player is not feeling well or has the onset of new or unfamiliar symptoms, please stay home and contact your coach.  Students will not be in trouble for missing games or practices because of cautions over Covid-19.

If you have any questions, please let me know or reach out to the individual coaches.  Vigilance in our precautions and following the guidelines around Covid-19 are imperative.  We all want to have a Spring season and following the rules and expectations must be done.
