KMS Field Hockey Update: The good, the bad, and the hopeful...

KMS Field Hockey Update:

The good: We have hired a field hockey coach and we will be moving forward with our preseason!!  I am excited to have Elizabeth Kluchnick back on board with us!  Coach Kluchnick has coached previously at KMS  and  we are lucky that she is able to join us again!  Coach Kluchnick  is a Kennett alumni and former Varsity Kennett field hockey player who will share her love, knowledge and excitement for the game field hockey with our student-athletes.  The Bad: We are still in need of one more coach to complete the coaching staff!  Our field hockey program has been a very popular and successful program over the years.  In order for that to continue, we will need one more coach to help with the large number of girls that will be coming out for the team.  The Hopeful:  We still have two weeks to find a coach.  The first day of school is right around the corner, but there is still time to  hire Coach #2.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, or would like more information, please contact me, Gredel Shaw or click HEREYou can also visit the SAU9 website and click on "Careers".

Lastly, I hope we all realize how fortunate we are to have dedicated coaches working with your children. It is not always an easy task, and we can help with their efforts by being appreciative and supportive in the upcoming season(s).

PreSeason: We will begin with an all team meeting/practice on Monday, August 27th from 4-6pm.  Players will meet outside and should come prepared for practice with a stick, goggles, water and shin guard, and any paperwork that has not yet been turned in.  If you are in need of equipment, or are not sure what to buy - we will help provide those for you or point you in the right direction.  We will provide a practice plan/schedule at this time and what the season might look like.  Keep an eye out here on as well.

**The last day for ImPACT Testing at KMS is on Tuesday 8/21  at 11:00 AM.

Meet the Coaches Night for parents on Monday, August 20th at 6:30pm.  We hope to have a better idea of what the season will look like and how we will be moving forward if we only have one coach.
