Fall Sports Season

Registration Link - COMING SOON!

Kennett Middle School will offer the following sports in the fall to 7th & 8th graders:   Field Hockey, Girls & Boys Soccer and Cross Country and Football.  Preseason conditioning and practices will begin in mid-August, with football starting a bit earlier than the rest.

KMS 6th graders will continue with sports programming at Conway Rec and the other sport clubs and programs in MWV.

All sports information for preseason dates for Kennett Middle School will be announced on www.GoKMS.com in the upcoming weeks so the details and starting dates can be ironed out.

There will be a Fall Sports Parent Meeting on MONDAY AUGUST 12th (NEW DATE) at 6pm in the KMS Gymnasium.   All sports information for preseason dates for Kennett Middle School sports will be announced on www.GoKMS.com in the upcoming weeks.  While the starting dates are still being ironed out, here are a few things to get ready for the fall sports season.

5 easy steps to have your 7th & 8th Grade student-athlete signed up and ready to go for the first practice:

1. Register for a sport on the Google Sign Up Form found on www.GoKMS.com.  This sign up form will give coaches and the school contact info for the summer and regular season.

2. Fill out the paper Kennett Middle School Activity Permission forms and return them to KMS by Friday, August 2nd .  You can pick paper copies up at KMS reception office or can download and print off the PAPER KMS Activity Code and permission forms at www.GoKMS.com under Files & Links, then read, sign and return the forms only to school. "No permission Forms, No Practice".

3. Obtain proof of physical for your athlete.  A physical must be valid within 2 years and be on file with school before the start of the season or handed in at the first practice.  "No Physical, No Practice".

4. Sign up for ImPACT Testing when the testing dates are announced for early August. This online cognitive assessment test must be done before your student-athlete can participate in a practice. "No ImPACT Test, No Practice".

5. Sign up for www.GoKMS alerts if you have not done so already.  Be sure to select each level and sport per season or update your sports/settings. This should be done #1 so that you know when the starting dates are announced and stay up to date with all KMS Sports info. Click "JOIN" in the upper right corner of your screen. IMPORTANT: Be sure to click on the “Email Alerts” tab then "My Account Information" and work within the "My Account Information, My Favorites/Alerts and My Content" links and be sure to add Kennett Middle School, then choose your child's sports and grades/levels.  If you do not select these things, you WILL NOT receive notifications.

ImPACT Testing is for all  7th grade athletes and untested 8th grade athletes. This online cognitive assessment test takes approximately 40 minutes and is a pass/fail test.  This is required for all athletes in grades 7-12 every 2 years, beginning in 7th grade.  Note - ImPACT testing is for incoming  7th graders or new, untested 8th graders.  If you took and passed the test last year as a 7th grader, you do not need to retake the test.

A Proof of Physical Exam must be submitted to school by Friday, August 2nd. The Proof of a physical is required in order to participate in KMS athletics.  If your child does not have a current physical once practice starts, he/she cannot participate.  Please be sure make an appointment with your child’s doctor as soon as possible to avoid delay in participation. Physicals are good for 2 years.   A sport physical form in available online at www.gokms.com under the “Files & Links” tab.  Tip for Parents: Please make copies of your physical.  Do not hand in your original.
